Norridgewock man indicted in 2009 homicide

The Associated Press

ANSON, Maine — A Norridgewock man has been indicted in connection with the shooting death of a man in his pickup truck nearly two years ago.

Forty-year-old Robert Nelson has been indicted on a murder charge in the death of Everett Cameron.

Police had said the 60-year-old Cameron had gone deer hunting and returned home. He was found dead in his truck on Oct. 31, 2009, which was parked along the woods near his home in Anson.

The Morning Sentinel reports the death was determined quickly to be a homicide, but it remained unsolved for a while.

Police said the two men knew each other, but did not say how their investigation led to Nelson.
