Gorham man wanted on multiple charges arrested

GORHAM, Maine — A Gorham man who was being hunted by authorities from Gorham and Windham was arrested in Gorham on Wednesday afternoon.

Michael McGraw, 29, was captured by two Gorham officers after a foot pursuit near College Avenue, according to a Portland Press Herald report.

Police said they stopped a vehicle on College Avenue when they believed McGraw was inside it, and the suspect subsequently fled on foot.

McGraw was arrested and taken into custody on outstanding warrants from Gorham and Windham. He faces charges of speeding, eluding an officer, driving to endanger, operating while under the influence, illegal possession of a firearm, operating a motor vehicle while license under suspension, burglary, theft, theft by receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

McGraw was taken to the Cumberland County Jail, where he remains Thursday. His bail has been set at $35,000.
