ROCKLAND, Maine — Burglars apparently stole a handgun and $1,400 in tools Monday night during a break-in at Prock Marine on Front Street.

Deputy Chief Wally Tower of the Rockland Police Department said that it appears someone went through some barges and vehicles that belong to the company.

“It appears as though only minor damage was done to any buildings or vehicles,” he said Wednesday.

The theft was reported to police Tuesday morning and it’s being investigated by the department’s detective division.

Tower said that anyone who observed anything suspicious is encouraged to call the police at 594-0317.
