BRUNSWICK, Maine — A drug raid at a Tufton Street home Friday afternoon resulted in the arrests of three New York City men — and the residents of the home — for possession and trafficking in crack cocaine and oxycodone.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, working with the Brunswick and Bath police departments, executed a search warrant at 2:15 p.m. Friday at 28 Tufton St., according to MDEA supervisor Jim Pease.

They found “roughly 18 rocks” of crack cocaine, in individual packets, along with 77 30-milligram oxycodone pills, 16 Suboxone pills, an SKS assault rifle, a 12-gauge tactical shotgun, ammunition for each and about $5,800 in cash, Pease said.

“During a monthlong investigation by the Brunswick Police Department, the MDEA and the Bath Police Department, we found out that individuals were coming up and finding houses to stay at for the sole purpose of selling crack and oxycodone,” Pease said. “We conducted several controlled purchases from different people within the group and then executed the search warrant.”

Brunswick police charged 28-year-old Levar Coard of New York, N.Y., with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Errol Holden, 31, of New York, N.Y., with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs; and 26-year-old Kristian Adams of Bronx, N.Y., with unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

They were arrested without incident, according to Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department, and transported to Cumberland County Jail.

Holden and Adams were held on $10,000 cash bail, and Coard on $5,000 cash bail. All face Dec. 20 appearances in Portland Superior Court.

Raymond Bourgoin, 44, and 34-year-old Megan Lausier, both of 28 Tufton St., were both summonsed and released on a charge of possession of cocaine.

Pease said more arrests will likely be forthcoming.
