LePage orders flags at half-staff for 9/11

From wire reports

AUGUSTA — Gov. Paul LePage has asked that American and state flags be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, Sept. 11, in remembrance of the terrorist attacks on that date 10 years ago that killed 2,752 Americans.

“September 11th was a day in our history that forever changed our people and our nation,” LePage said in a prepared statement issued Friday. “I ask all Maine citizens to honor the memory of the Americans who lost their lives that day and to remember all our military members serving overseas.”
