State police investigating Wales break-in

WALES, Maine — State police converged on a home in this Androscoggin County town after the owner was injured during a home invasion Wednesday.

According to WGME.com, the Centre Road resident reportedly returned home around noon and opened his door to find two men wearing Halloween masks going through his things.

Police say the owner then was beaten and stabbed by the two suspects, who proceeded to take off on foot.

The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, is expected to be OK.

Anyone with more information regarding the incident are asked to contact state police.
