Project Canopy

Hermon Elementary School received a $1,000 Project Canopy Grant through the Maine Forest Service. Horticulturist and parent Kendra Raymond submitted the application with drawings of favorite trees made by students with the theme “Trees are Cool.” Lane Construction Corp., represented by (back row, from left) Maurice Godin, Scott Vicnaire and Matt Pepin, donated labor, equipment, materials and watering. Banners and Signs donated two signs. Webelo II Cub Scouts, Hermon Pack 25, working on the project are (front row) Jacques Labonte, Nate Fettig, Kyle Byram, Josh Berry, John Snyder and Kent Raymond. The project design complements Hermon Veterans Park.
