Man charged with robbery at South Portland Hannaford

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — Police have arrested a Maine man on a robbery charge, accused of demanding pills from a pharmacist at a supermarket.

Police say the man entered a Hannaford in South Portland about 9 a.m. Monday and gave the pharmacist a note for specific pills. The man left the store after receiving the pills. A weapon was not shown or mentioned.

Witnesses saw the man enter a car across the street. Police later arrested 36-year-old Zachery Wildman of Westbrook. printed on August 16, 2017
