By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

PORTLAND, Maine — Police in Portland are hunting for a man who robbed the CVS Pharmacy drugstore on Brighton Avenue on Monday evening.

The suspect, a white man in his late 20s or early 30s, approached the pharmacy counter and demanded narcotics. After he was given prescription medication, the man ran down Brighton Avenue. No weapons were involved and nobody was injured.

The man is about 6 feet tall, was wearing faded baggy jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and dirty brown leather work boots, police told the Portland Press Herald.

Anyone with knowledge to the man’s whereabouts is asked to call the Portland Police Department at 874-8533.
