HAMPDEN — Benefit spaghetti supper in memory of Ben Preston, who was 26 when he lost his life to domestic violence, 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Reeds Brook Middle School. Admission is $5 per person or $15 for families, and proceeds benefit two agencies providing support for victims of domestic violence, Spruce Run Agency, serving Penobscot County, and New Hope for Women, serving Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties. SEARSPORT — Searsport District High School Alumni Association eighth annual Hamilton Marine Amateur Golf Tournament beginning with team registration at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Searsport Pines Golf Course on Mount Ephraim Road. The entry fee is $75 per golfer and includes a continental breakfast, greens fees, cart, a golf memento and lunch.
