UMaine field hockey team pounds Siena

ORONO — The University of Maine netted four goals in each half while holding Siena College to no shots on goal en route to a 8-0 field hockey victory Saturday.

Jocelyn Mitchell Mitchell tallied two goals in the first 18 minutes of the game for the 1-1 Black Bears. Hannah Keating and Zoe Adkins each added a goal in the first half. Holly Stewart, Megan Miller, Courtney Glynn and Stephanie Gardiner each posted a goal in the second half. Sydney Kolysher and Alicia Frisch faced no shots in goal.

Beth Meyers took the loss for the 0-1 Saints, making 14 saves on 24 shots.
