LARGO, Fla. – A. Chester Pike, 70, loving brother, father and grandfather, died Aug. 14, 2011, at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1940, in Buffalo, N.Y., son of Frank A. and Katherine (Gilson) Pike.

Chet attended Emerson School for Boys, Hebron Academy, class of 1959 and graduated from Babson College in 1962. He owned and operated Calais Billiards before working for Metropolitan Life Insurance and Eastern Maine Electric Cooperative, Calais, and Wasson’s, Lubec, before moving to Florida in 1985. Chet was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He greatly enjoyed traveling, being poolside, picking stocks and chatting with his AOL buddies. His greatest pride was his family.

Chet is survived by his two daughters, Donna and her husband, Richard Bradford, of Corinth and Teresa Hallett of Levant; five grandchildren, Shawn Hallett of Ellsworth and Samantha, Jessica, Katrina and Richard Bradford of Corinth; a sister, Suzanne and her husband, John P. McCurdy, of Lubec; two nieces, Susan and her husband, Barry Matthews, and Elizabeth Galley, all of Hampden; and a very special friend, Catherine Howard of Santa Cruz, Calif. He was predeceased by his parents.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Olson Cemetery, Lubec.
