BREWER, Maine — A resident on Chamberlain Street noticed two teens inside his vehicle early Thursday and both were later charged with burglary to a motor vehicle, Brewer police Lt. Chris Martin said.

“They were confronted by the property owner and they ran,” the lieutenant said.

Officers Kristie Bouchard and Ed Benjamin responded to Chamberlain Street at 12:41 a.m. and quickly found the two 17-year-old boys, one from Brewer and one from Great Pond.

Because they are juveniles, their names were not released.

Both teens were arrested, charged with burglary to a motor vehicle, and were later released to their parents, Martin said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
