ORONO, Maine — A man dumped his motorcycle on Stillwater Avenue early Wednesday when trying to avoid something in the roadway in front of him, Orono police Capt. Josh Ewing said.

The man, described as around 40 years old, was taken at around 5:45 a.m. to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

“He had a possible broken arm,” the police captain said.

Other details about the crash, including the man’s name, hometown, condition and what he was trying to avoid, were not available Wednesday morning, Ewing said. Officer David Silk is handling the case, he said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
