Bangor, Maine — ReStore is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays in Penobscot Plaza. The store features new and reusable building materials and home items at discounted prices. Proceeds help Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bangor build homes in partnership with low-income families.

BOOTHBAY, Maine — Raffle tickets for the 2011 Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Raffle are $20 per ticket or $100 for six and are available at the Visitor Center on Barters Island Road or by calling 633-4333. Raffle items include a signed Thomas Moser New Gloucester rocking chair, two Old Town Vapor 10 kayaks, Gardener’s Helpers, “Wonder Woman of the Gardens” cuff bracelet designed by Cross Jewelers in Portland and a seven-day Crystal Symphony cruise. All raffle proceeds support the gardens and you need not be present to win. The drawing will be held at Maine Meets Maui: A Luau at the Gardens on Sunday, Aug. 28.

CARIBOU, Maine — Carolyn Hayden of Caribou has made a queen-sized bed quilt to be raffled Nov. 1 to benefit Halfway Home Pet Rescue. CLIFTON, Maine — Harold “Red” Hodgins Memorial Golf Tournament, tee times at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Sawmill Golf Course, Airline Road. Proceeds benefit the Clifton United Baptist Church roof fund.The entry fee is $200 for a four-person team. Hole sponsorships are $100 per hole. There is no admission fee and parking is available. Proceeds benefit St. Peter’s Church.
