BAR HARBOR, Maine — A Sullivan man ran from Bar Harbor Police Officer Christopher Warff early Saturday morning during a routine traffic stop on Route 3. The stop, at 2:20 a.m., was for a nonfunctioning brake light, according to police.

Jamie L. Brown, 31, of Sullivan, was located later that same day during a second traffic stop in Ellsworth around 11 p.m. Hancock County Deputy Michael Southard located Brown in a vehicle operated by Brittany High, 22, of Bar Harbor.

Brown was arrested and charged with operating after suspension, violation of bail conditions and refusing to submit to arrest or detention, according to the Bar Harbor Police Department. High was charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution.
