One hospitalized after fight at Indian Township

INDIAN TOWNSHIP, Maine — One man was hospitalized and another arrested early Saturday after a fight on a bike path off Route 1 at the Passamaquoddy reservation.

Sgt. Roger Newell said the victim was beaten by three other men after he refused to leave a nearby residence. The participants were all men and were all intoxicated, he said. No weapons were involved. Newell said the fight took place about 5 a.m.

Clay Levesque Jr., 21, of Indian Township, was arrested on a charge of assault, and the victim was transported by ambulance to Calais Regional Hospital where he remained Saturday afternoon. No information on his condition was available. printed on July 21, 2017
