SEAL HARBOR — A workshop on high-yield, ecofriendly, sustainable gardening and farming with a visit from Compass Green’s Traveling Greenhouse, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at The Naturalist’s Notebook, 16 Main St. There will be a field demonstration 1-2 p.m. at the Back Road Farm Stand and garden on Upper Dunbar Road. SEARSMONT — The sixth annual Belfast Garden Club Open Garden Days features 13 gardens in Belfast, Belmont, Searsport, Searsmont, Bayside and Northport. The final garden tour of the season will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at the old fashioned perennial garden of Sally Shure, 105 Woodmans Mill Road. Tickets can be purchased at each garden on the day of the tour for a donation of $4 for one garden or $15 for a five-visit ticket. SOUTH PARIS — McLaughlin Garden 2011 annual Auction “Where There is Magic in the Air,” 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at McLaughlin Garden. Advance tickets required, $35 per person.
