Desjardins hat trick propels Fort Kent

VAN BUREN – Abraham Desjardins scored three goals to lead Fort Kent past Van Buren 4-0 in boys varsity soccer action Wednesday.

Curtis Bouchard also scored for 1-0 Fort Kent, and Brandon Hartt and Jesse Daigle each contributed assists. Cody Plourde stopped all three of Van Buren’s shots on goal.

Marc Lajoie made 10 saves on 24 Fort Kent shots for 0-2 Van Buren.Washburn 3, Easton 1

At Easton, Jordan McLaughlin scored three goals and Mitchell Worcester dished out an assist as Washburn defeated Easton 3-1 in a Class D boy’s soccer matchup.

Zach Davis stopped five of Easton’s 11 shots for the 1-0 Beavers.

Cody Halborson scored unassisted for Easton’s lone goal, and Cody Tompkins made six saves on 15 Washburn shots for 0-1 Easton.

LCS/MSSM 2, Fort Fairfield 0

At Limestone, Dylan Nadeau made 17 saves and Brandon Nadeau’s first-half goal and Tristan Kirk’s second-half goal supplied Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics with its triumph over Fort Fairfield.

Bret Butler had an assist for the 1-0 winners.

Chris Weeks made seven saves for 1-1 Fort Fairfield.

Fort Fairfield 4, LCS/MSSM 1

At Limestone, Kylie Plourde scored a pair of goals and Logan Bubar and Kacie York scored one apiece as Fort Fairfield improved to 2-0.

Lindsey Graves and Emily Blaisdell had assists and Katy Donovan made 13 saves.

Kennedy Smith scored for Limestone Community School/Maine School of Science and Mathematics and Autumn Beauchamp made 12 saves.

Van Buren 5, Fort Kent 2

At Van Buren, Parise Rossignol scored four goals and assisted on Felisha Bouchard’s goal to lead Van Buren past Fort Kent.

Chantal Rioux had an assist and Ashlie Wilson made 18 saves on 22 shots for the 1-1 Crusaders.

Chelsey Plourde and Roxy Pelletier scored for 0-1 Fort Kent and Andrea Nadeau finished with seven saves on 15 shots.

Washburn 3, Easton 2

At Easton, Mackenzie Worcester’s second goal of the game, coming with just 6:22 remaining in regulation, snapped a 2-2 tie and provided Washburn with its win in a mutual season-opener.

Carsyn Koch scored the other Washburn goal off a Carmen Bragg assist and Rayah Saucier made 17 saves on 28 shots.

Carla Halvorson scored both Easton goals and Danielle Dudley assisted on one of them. Haley Ambrose made 15 saves on 33 shots.
