Family fun day planned for Merrill


MERRILL, Maine — Oakfield Fire Department and Merrill Millstream Park Committee will hold a day of fun and festivities for children of all ages from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Merrill Millstream Park. The event includes Maine Forestry Department displays, games, fire safety training, hot dogs and drinks. For more information, call 757-8286.

Feed The County Summerfest at Spud Speedway

CARIBOU, Maine — Aroostook Savings & Loan, Catholic Charities of Maine, WAGM-TV8 and Spud Speedway will hold a “Feed The County Summerfest” benefit concert at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Spud Speedway in Caribou. Gates open at 3 pm.

Tickets for the Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy show are available through Catholic Charities Maine, bank branch locations in Caribou and Presque Isle and online at www.spudspeedway.com.
