Maine Army National Guard promotions announced

AUGUSTA, Maine — Maj. Gen. John W. Libby, adjutant general of the Maine National Guard, has announced the promotions of several Maine Army National Guard soldiers from Penobscot, Piscataquis and Somerset County for the month of June.

The citizen soldiers and their new ranks, hometowns and the unit they are assigned to are listed below:

  • Pfc. Eric Arrants, Charleston, 488th Military Police Company
  • Pfc. Randy Watts, Orono, 185th Engineer Support Company
  • Pfc. Tyler Wintle, Dexter, Company B, 3rd Battalion, 172nd Mountain Infantry
  • Pvt. [E-2] Rachel Ellis, Newport, 136th Engineer Company
  • Pvt. [E-2] Jacob Norris, Stetson, 185th Engineer Support Company
  • Pfc. Eric Arrants, Charleston, 488th Military Police Company
  • Pfc. Randy Watts, Orono, 185th Engineer Support Company
  • Pfc. Tyler Wintle, Dexter, Company B, 3rd Battalion, 172nd Mountain Infantry
  • Pvt. [E-2] Rachel Ellis, Newport, 136th Engineer Company
  • Pvt. [E-2] Jacob Norris, Stetson, 85th Engineer Support Company.
  • Pfc. Jesse Clement, Anson, 488th Military Police Company
  • Pfc. Nicholas Estes, Saint Albans, 488th Military Police Company
  • Pvt. [E-2] Miles Emery, Fairfield, 488th Military Police Company

The soldiers were all promoted in June 2011.
