BELFAST — The sixth annual Belfast Garden Club Open Garden Days features 13 gardens in Belfast, Belmont, Searsport, Searsmont, Bayside and Northport. One garden per week will be open to the public 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Fridays, through Aug. 26. Tickets can be purchased at each garden on the day of the tour for a donation of $4 for one garden or $15 for a five-visit ticket. SOUTH PARIS — Hosta and Honey Fest, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at McLaughlin Garden, 97 Main St. featuring activities, bake sale, restaurant tastings and plant sales. Admission is free. For information, call 743-8820 or visit mclaughlingarden.org.

ROCKLAND — The 9th Annual Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors Show, Friday-Sunday, Aug. 12-14, at Harbor Park. The only in-water boat show in the state, with more than 70 boats in the water and 150 exhibitors on land, is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Maritime films will be shown each day in the Rockland Yacht Club building and local authors will be on hand for book signings. Demonstrations on everything from handspinning to solar energy options will be in the Tradition and Innovation in Action Tent in the park. Admission is $12, kids under 12 are free.
