BANGOR, Maine — A 21-year-old local man got into a fight with an adult male relative Wednesday afternoon and was arrested for domestic violence assault, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said.

Christopher Devereaux was arrested at around 4:40 p.m. after he reportedly shoved his relative, the sergeant said.

After Devereaux found out he was going to be arrested, he resisted and was charged with refusing to submit to arrest, Edwards said. He was taken to the Penobscot County Jail and later released.

The relative did not need medical attention, the sergeant said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
