PORTLAND, Maine — U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud is seeking input from manufacturers in Maine.

Michaud has created an online survey to find out why businesses choose to make their products in Maine and what type of federal policy changes they’d like to see to help them succeed. The survey can be found on Michaud’s website, www.michaud.house.gov. It includes questions about obtaining credit, finding skilled employees and hiring.

Michaud said he’ll use the survey results to help him work with colleagues in Congress to draft legislation aimed at helping manufacturers.

Michaud has been visiting manufacturers in Maine the past few months and is taking a multi-day tour later this month to manufacturing plants from Auburn to Aroostook County.
