BANGOR, Maine — Police investigating possible drug dealing on Blackstone Street last week caught an Old Town man leaving a residence there while in possession of the synthetic drug bath salts, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said.

Ronald T. Henry, 31, was walking out of the building at about 5:30 p.m. Aug. 3, when he was seen by Officers Steve Pelletier and Tim Shaw, who are part of the department’s Special Enforcement Team.

“While interviewing Henry, the officers noticed a blue straw with white residue fall from his pocket and questioned him further about it,” Edwards said.

Henry was searched and charged with unlawful possession of hallucinogenic drugs and unlawful trafficking of hallucinogenic drugs.

Whether Henry purchased drugs while at the residence under surveillance is not known, Edwards said. “He wasn’t really cooperative with the investigation.”

Henry is scheduled to be in court on Sept. 7, Edwards said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
