Faulty fire alarm closes Bangor Public Library

By Andrew Neff, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Public Library was forced to close Monday due to a malfunctioning fire alarm.

Callers to the library received the following message: “Due to an issue with our fire alarm system, we will be closed all day Monday.”

Library director Barbara McDade was in Augusta on Monday to attend legislative hearings and could not immediately be reached for comment.
