HOULTON – George L. McNinch, 43, died Aug. 3, 2011, at a local hospital. He was born May 4, 1968, in Houlton, the son of Brenda Hanning and Elery Donahue.
George was a graduate of Houlton High School, class of 1986. He served in the U.S. Army for three years. George worked for many years as a certified nurse’s aide at Houlton Regional Hospital, a clerk at Irving Mainway and for the Blow Brothers, Old Orchard. He was a member of Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians and enjoyed working on computers, listening to music, fishing and reading daily.
George is survived by his wife, Tammy (Reeves) McNinch of Houlton; his dad, Ray McNinch and his wife, Pat, of Brewer; his father, Elery Donahue and his wife, Joanne, of Littleton; three sisters, Tina Graham and her husband, Bret, Loretta Donahue, all of Houlton, and Brenda Johnson and her husband, Heath, of Connecticut; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and his pets, Casey, Smokey and Miss Priss. He was predeceased by his mother, Brenda Hanning.
