BREWER, Maine — Police searched a Glenwood Avenue home last week after getting reports a man living there was growing pot, and on Sunday they returned and arrested him, Brewer police Lt. Chris Martin said Tuesday.
William Dunn, 50, was charged with marijuana cultivation and unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs after Sgt. David Lord and other officers seized approximately 16 marijuana plants, processed marijuana and drug paraphernalia on July 25, Martin said.
The processed pot was in individual plastic bags, the lieutenant said.
Dunn was arrested, taken to the Penobscot County Jail and later released, a jail official said.
Both the marijuana cultivation and unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs crimes are misdemeanors that carry a maximum penalty of up to one year in jail.
