BANGOR, Maine — Lightning storms that moved through the region early Tuesday evening prompted the early closure of the Bangor State Fair.
The fair, which usually is open until 10 p.m., was shut down at 7 p.m., according to a post on the event’s Facebook page.
The early closure forced the cancellation of a performance by Maine rapper Spose.
“Sorry to all the Spose fans, but we can’t reschedule — schedules won’t allow,” the post said. “Let’s hope for sunshine the rest of the way!”
