BANGOR, Maine — A Maryland man who was working at Sunday’s Oxxfest at the Bangor Waterfront was arrested on a criminal trespass charge after he returned to the venue despite being told to leave by police.

Keith Williams, 36, of Edgewater, Md., came to the attention of city police after he allegedly became intoxicated, began acting disorderly and would not cooperate with event security staff, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday, citing a police report by Officer Paul Colley.

The police report said that Williams was being verbally abusive and challenging toward a security staff member because he was shut off from purchasing alcohol. The staffer asked that Williams be removed.

Colley, who escorted Williams off the premises and warned him not return, reported that Williams continued to be uncooperative and made threatening remarks but eventually left the venue.

About one hour later, Colley saw Williams back at the venue walking toward him and placed him under arrest, Edwards said.
