Twin sisters found dead in Portland; police seek cause

The Associated Press

PORTLAND, Maine — Police say the two women found dead in a Portland apartment were twin sisters, but there’s no indication what caused their deaths.

Monday, a maintenance worker found the bodies of Linda Salliotte and Judith Fuller, both 61, in Salliotte’s apartment at the Longfellow Commons housing complex.

Portland Police Lt. Gary Rogers says autopsies were conducted Wednesday, but they did not immediately determine a cause of death.

Toxicology tests are being conducted, but results will take weeks.

Pam Bosarge, a sister to the two women, told the Portland Press Herald that Salliotte and Fuller were inseparable.
