The Heritage Foundation has posted on its website a video of the July 18 program “States Moving Away from Government-Run Health Care” featuring talks by Maine Gov. Paul LePage and Tarren Bragdon, president and CEO of the Florida-based Foundation for Government Accountability and former CEO of the Maine Heritage Policy Center.

In his introductory remarks, Heritage Foundation Vice President Michael Franc references LePage’s policy accomplishments over the past six months, including the enactment of “significant market-based health care reforms” and the phasing out of the Dirigo Health plan, “the state’s price-controlled and uber-regulatory attempt to manage health care costs.”

Under LePage’s leadership, Franc says, Maine joins “more than two dozen states that have objected in one way or another to liberal condescension in the form of Obamacare, an unconstitutional and ineffective health care regime.”
