PORTLAND, Maine — Portland police say there is nothing suspicious about the deaths of two women whose bodies were found in an apartment in the Maine city.
But it’s not clear what led to the deaths of the women at the Longfellow Commons senior housing complex. The bodies were discovered Monday afternoon.
Police said the two women knew each other, but they were not roommates.
Portland police Lt. Gary Rogers told the Portland Press Herald the women were both in their late 60s.
Rogers said the bodies have been sent to the state medical examiner’s office.
The names of the women have not been released.
