Lin Lufkin (right) receives the Charles F. Bragg II Rotary Club of Bangor Leadership Award, the club’s highest honor, at a recent Rotary meeting. Presenting the honor is outgoing Rotary President David Green. Lufkin, known for his distinguished military career and his years as a civil engineer with both Cianbro and Nickerson & O’Day, has been a Rotarian since 1996. He served as president of the club 2001-2002 and has been a Paul Harris Fellow since the late 1990s. Lufkin also was inducted into the University of Maine Francis Crowe Society in 2010. His volunteer service encompasses Habitat for Humanity, the Camden Public Library, the Bangor Public Library and many other nonprofit organizations. The Bragg Award recognizes “continuous and exemplary leadership and service to the club and the community it serves,” Green said.
