Driver escapes rollover crash with minor injuries in Hodgdon

HODGDON, Maine — A Houlton woman escaped serious injury when her 1995 Toyota Corolla left the roadway, rolled over several times, then struck a tree, Maine State Police reported Sunday.

The Route 1 accident, which was reported about 5:50 a.m. Saturday, left the Corolla a total loss, police said.

Detective Josh Haines reported the car was traveling southbound at the time. Amber Flewelling, 20, of Houlton received minor injuries and left the scene of the accident, police said. Charges may be pending for failure to report the accident by quickest means.
