ROCKLAND, Maine — Police say a man high on drugs smashed a car out of its parking spot early Thursday morning.

Rockland Police said Corwin Olds, 31, of Rockport was driving his 2000 Chrysler van north on Main Street by Dunkin Donuts when he plowed into Stephen Pierce’s 2002 Audi, which was parked on the side of the road.

Olds’ car bumped the Audi out of its parking spot at about 1 a.m. Thursday and caused $6,000 worth of damage to the car. Olds caused $8,000 worth of damage to his own car, according to Rockland Police deputy chief Wally Tower.

Olds was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs, operating after suspension and violating conditions of release. He was brought to Knox County Jail where he is being held without bail on the charge of violating conditions of release.
