CLINTON, Maine — Maine State Police say it’s sheer luck no one was seriously injured or killed when three teenagers tossed a barrage of rocks at vehicles on Interstate 95 in Clinton.

Trooper Diane Perkins-Vance said one motorist was injured when broken glass got into his eyes in one of five separate incidents over the past few weeks. She said rocks broke either windshields or side windows in each of the vehicles.

The teens were arrested Wednesday.

Perkins-Vance tells the Morning Sentinel that two boys ages 16 and 17 face 15 counts of criminal mischief, assault and felony reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon. A third, who’s 15, faces 12 counts of the same charges.
