The Associated Press

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — New Hampshire transportation officials say a bridge linking Portsmouth with Kittery, Maine will close for two days next week for an inspection.

The 88-year-old Memorial Bridge will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Tuesday and Wednesday, though pedestrians and bicyclists still will be allow.

The alternate routes for motorists will be two other bridges, including one on Interstate 95.

The inspection won’t affect boat traffic on the Piscataqua River.
