GORHAM, Maine — Maine State Police say they’re investigating the death of an infant in Gorham.

Police descended Monday on a Robie Street home, blocking off access to everyone but residents for about five hours.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland says there’s nothing suspicious about the death, but that investigations are always performed when a child under 3 dies.

WMTW reports that the initial 911 call was placed at 3:37 p.m. Monday.
