BANGOR — ReStore is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays, at Penobscot Plaza. ReStore offers new and reusable building materials and home items at discounted prices. Proceeds help Habitat for Humanity build homes in partnership with low-income families.

BREWER — Brewer Days Car Show, sponsored by Troop 15 Boy Scouts, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, Brewer Auditorium parking lot on Wilson Street. There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted. Fee is $5 to register each vehicle in the show. HANCOCK — Union Congregational Church of Hancock annual church fair and yard sale, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at 1368 Route 1. Breakfast and lunch can be purchased and homemade doughnuts, crab rolls, chicken salad sandwiches and hot dogs will be on sale. The fair will feature homemade baked goods, crafts, jewelry, knickknacks, books, puzzles, plants, free face painting for children and slightly used children’s clothing. Silent auction items will include a Frenchman Bay boat cruise, a truckload of firewood, a Morso wood stove, a handmade quilt, gift certificates and more. The yard sale may include furniture, kitchenware, small appliances, bicycles, toys or power equipment. Proceeds benefit the church and community organizations it supports.

INDIAN ISLAND — Charity yard sale to raise funds for the Penobscot Nation Food Pantry, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday-Saturday, July 22-30, at St. Ann’s Church, 4 Down St. The Pantry is seeking items to sell in the yard sale and will continue accepting donations until July 30. MILO — Milo Garden Club to host Summer Fair 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Milo Elementary School. Admission free. The fair features crafts, plants, perennials, a nearly new table, vegetables, food for sale, raffle items, door prizes, silent auction. By-donation luncheon also available, and a talk and demonstration on garden color and aromatherapy will be offered. Proceeds benefit the club and its community projects.

STOCKTON SPRINGS — A yard and food sale begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at the Walter Trundy ball field. To donate items, call Mary Jane Costigan, 567-3205. Arrangements can be made for pickup, but clothing will not be accepted. Baked goods and food can be brought to the food table the day of sale. Proceeds benefit the steeple repair fund.
