Stolen truck found on Bangor golf course

By Dawn Gagnon, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — A pickup truck stolen from a Kenduskeag Avenue residence was found early Monday morning at Bangor Municipal Golf Course.

“It was parked on one of the greens. It was near the No. 4 hole, left of the flag,” Bangor police Sgt. Larry Weber said Monday, citing a police report.

The blue 1999 Ford F150 apparently was stolen overnight, Weber said. He said its owner was not aware it was missing until he was contacted by city police.

According to the police report, the pickup was discovered shortly before 6 a.m. by a golf course employee. There were no keys in the ignition.

Weber said the truck, which had a small amount of water inside from the golf course’s sprinkler system, was returned to its owner.
