BANGOR, Maine — A man who was riding a bicycle in the city’s downtown was taken to a hospital after he swerved to avoid a collision with a Mercury Montego, struck a curb and fell, injuring his head.
Kenneth Busque, 30, of Bangor was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center, where he was treated, Bangor police Sgt. Larry Weber said Monday night.
An EMMC nursing supervisor said Busque has been released from the hospital.
The accident happened about 10:45 a.m. on the bridge behind Bangor Savings Bank, near where York and Hancock streets connect by the Kenduskeag Stream overpass, Sgt. Paul Edwards said Monday afternoon.
“There was an initial report of a head injury but he was alert and breathing,” Edwards said.
No charges are expected in the incident.
