Six hospitalized in two-car accident in Standish

STANDISH, Maine — Six people, including several children, were transported to a Portland hospital Sunday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 114 and Harmon’s Beach Road near Sebago Lake.

According to police reports, the collision occurred at about 3 p.m., when a pickup truck driven by Randy Baldwin of Naples broadsided an SUV driven by Theresa Michaud of Scarborough. Baldwin’s passengers included his wife and two children, ages 10 and 12. Michaud was carrying her 14-year-old daughter and 15-year-old niece.

All suffered abrasions and contusions, according to the police report. Driver inattention is thought to have contributed to the accident, which is under investigation.
