Healing with flowers

Volunteer program focus group

Parkinson’s group meeting

CAMDEN — Individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, and their loved ones and caregivers, are invited to learn about the connections between creativity and well-being during the next meeting of the area’s Parkinson’s Disease Support Group, noon-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, in the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill.

During the meeting, educator and expressive arts practitioner Laura Jaquays will present “ArtHope: Recipe for Wellness,” a look at how anyone — even those who say they have no artistic talent or experience — can enhance overall health simply by injecting creativity into everyday life.

The Parkinson’s Support Group meets noon-1:45 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Quarry Hill. Meetings are free. Attendees are encouraged to bring bag lunches; Quarry Hill provides beverages and desserts.
