Photographer to help raise money to keep girl at home

By Judy Harrison, BDN Staff

ORONO, Maine — A half dozen photographers will help raise money Saturday for a 7-year-old Old Town girl with a fatal muscle disorder during an event at the University of Maine.

A photo shoot will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Ornamental Gardens on the north side of the campus.

Photographers will spend 15 minutes with their subjects in exchange for a $35 donation to a fund dedicated to allowing Kaymi Hunt to remain in her home as the disease progresses.

Individuals, families, friends and pets are welcome to pose for photographers, who will provide participants with digital copies of their portraits.

Individuals may schedule appointments by calling 827-1287, e-mailing billie.roach@umit.maine.edu or dropping by the garden.
