Hampden woman prevails for Speedway 95 victory

HERMON — Danielle Beale of Hampden led all 25 laps en route to her first feature win of the season in the Ladies division during the regularly scheduled Wacky Wednesday racing feature at Speedway 95.
Beale held off multiple challenges from Carmel’s Becky Elston, who placed second. Kayla Allen of Bucksport finished third, followed by Nicole Smith of Bangor and Chelsea Young of Winterport.
Elston had emerged victorious in the first Ladies feature, which had been postponed on July 6. In that race, she outdueled runner-up Beale, along with Young, Allen and Smith, who finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
