HAMPDEN — Jared Seamans pitched a six-hitter with nine strikeouts as Hampden secured third place in the Zone 1 standings with a 2-1 American Legion baseball victory over top-seeded Bangor.
Bangor (17-4) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third as Christian Corneil singled home Dylan Morris.
Hampden (14-7) scored both of its runs in the bottom of the inning. Josiah Brazier hit a leadoff single and came around to score on a single by Justin Rodgerson. A bases-loaded walk to Justin Amoroso later plated Rodgerson with the eventual winning run.
Bangor’s Cody McInnis was the game’s lone repeat hitter with a double and a single. The Comrades’ Curtis Worcester and Bryan Rouleau combined to pitch a four-hitter.

Brewer 8, Lincoln 5
At Lincoln, Eric White’s three-run home run highlighted Brewer’s seventh inning, giving it a four-run lead as the Falcons defeated Lincoln in both teams’ last regular-season game.
White also had a single and scored two runs, and Evan Eldridge had two doubles and three RBIs. Kyle McLain struck out six and walked two in six five innings of work for 16-5 Brewer.
Jordan Morrow had two singles, a double and two runs scored to pace 10-11 Lincoln. Garen Manzo had two sinlges and Dustin Sawtelle had an RBI triple.

At South China, Luke Morrill hit a home run and a single, and scored two runs as Amato’s of Rockland defeated South China Subway 11-5 in Zone 2 American Legion baseball action.
Adam Landwehr, Billy Joyce and Cameron Gartley combined to give up five hits and five runs.
Bryant Matthews had two singles and scored two runs, Gartley had a triple, double and scored a run, and Joe Nelson contributed a double and a run.
Ryan Pulver had two singles and a run and Shyler Scates hit a home run and scored a run for South China.
