MCI planning reunion weekend


PITTSFIELD, Maine — Maine Central Institute will kick off its annual reunion weekend with the Hall of Fame and Distinguished Achievement Ceremony at 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, in MCI’s Student Center.

Honorees this year are Lancy Bradshaw of Pittsfield; Sally Smith Bryant of Hancock, Class of 1961; Garret E. Cole of Bangor, Class of 1968; and Skip Ettinger of Fort Lewis, Wash., Class of 1963.

Immediately after the ceremony will be a barbecue on the front campus under the tent. The cost is $20 per person. Other reunion events will take place on Saturday, Aug. 6, beginning at 9 a.m. with registration in MCI’s dining room, and will include a luncheon buffet at noon on the front campus and an Alumni Gala Dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. in Wright Gymnasium. The cost of the luncheon is $20 per person, the dinner is $20 per person, or a combo package is available for the Friday barbecue, Saturday lunch and dinner at $55 per person.

An alumni children’s reunion program will be offered from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. The children’s program is free of charge, but preregistration is required.
