Ribbon cutting

HAMPDEN — Officials from the town of Hampden and the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce joined Katahdin Trust Co. management on June 28 for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at its newest full-service branch at 57 Western Ave.

The new office, which opened on June 20, marks the bank’s third location in the Bangor area, complementing the bank’s branch office in Bangor’s Broadway Shopping Center and its commercial loan office on Stillwater Avenue along with 14 branches throughout Aroostook County and northern Penobscot and an additional commercial loan office in Scarborough.

This new location in Hampden features a 24-hour drive-up ATM, two drive-up banking lanes and a drive-up night depository. Within the facility, there are four teller stations, safe deposit boxes and four private loan and account opening offices. Opening celebration lobby hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m.-noon Saturday. The drive-up is open 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m.-noon Saturday.

“A conference room and spacious waiting area provide comfort for our customers as they conduct their banking business in a private and professional manner,” said Sunny Somers, manager of the new office.

“We invite friends old and new to come discover what community banking is all about,” she said. “Katahdin Trust Co. brings to Hampden a long-standing legacy of fiscal integrity, exceptional personal service and value-driven accounts, loans, technologies and more.”
