2 found dead in murder-suicide in NH

The Associated Press

WEARE, N.H. — Authorities say two people died in an apparent murder-suicide in a house at 1724 River Road.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell said Weare police received an emergency call at about 6:30 a.m. Sunday and found the bodies of a man and woman. She said it appeared the man killed the woman. She declined to say if anyone else was at home or who made the call.

Morrell said 90 minutes earlier, police had responded to an emergency call about an armed home invasion at 477 Concord Stage Road, about a mile from the River Road address. She said it appeared the man involved in the murder-suicide also was a suspect in the other incident.

The New Hampshire State Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
